CLEARWATER, FL -Fishermen aboard a Clearwater based yacht got quite the surprise when a marlin jumped out of the water and onto their boat.
The fishermen were out fishing Thursday morning off the coast of the Dominican Republic when the roughly 350-pound fish managed to come aboard.
The 'Marlin Darlin' is a 62-foot fishing yacht that is home-ported in Clearwater.
The boat's owner, Bobby Jacobsen, was aboard for the fishing expedition. Jacobson was the man who captured the unbelievable video of the marlin jumping from the water.
The marlin died because of injuries sustained when it jumped onto the boat, noting the crew typically returns marlins caught. The fish was given to local fishermen.
